Mas Sitjò

450 year old massia (farm house) restored to respect the original style of the house, with added modern conveniences. Located amidst 90 acres of woods filled with oaks, pines, cork oaks and eucalyptus. Fenced perimeter around the house is about 4 acres with lots of lawn, swimming pool, terraces for eating, sunning, hanging out. Large vegetable garden in the summer. Irrigation is fully automatic. Large areas for outdoor dining on east, south and north (shaded) sides of the house. Located in a region made famous for cycling by the US Postal Service team; many of their favorite rides go right by the property on the way from Girona to the Garrotxa and Pyrennees mountains.

Four bedrooms: 2 with double beds, 2 with two twin beds

Extra pull out twin mattress under master bed. Two fully folding twin beds in extra mezzanine sleeping area. Large flat couches in TV/Chimney room suitable for young sleepers. Tents for outside as well with sleeping bags. Cleaning before arrival and after departure included. Linens included.

Catalonian foothills south east of the city of Girona (Gerona).One hour north of Barcelona, 45 minutes-1 hour from the sea depending on which beaches you’re going to. 1 hour south of Perpignan(60 km from French border).10 minutes from Girona airport, now one of the largest hubs for Ryanair in Europe. 20 minutes outside of Girona, a marvelous modern city with a beautifully restored old city that dates to the 9th century.Easy access to Garrotxa volcanic region (40 minutes) and Pyrenees mountains (1 hour).  Below is a link to a recent NY Times Travel Section article featuring Girona.
