Nestled above the ancient Abbey of Morgeot near the Chassagne-Santenay border, this is among the top Pinot Noir vineyards of this village, which is more famous for its white. The reds of Chassagne-Montrachet are among the best-kept secrets of the Côte d’Or and this is a great example of why.
This wine is elegant and full-bodied at the same time. Ripe tannins and a gritty texture provide freshness and structure to the dark plum flavors of this classic Pinot Noir.
Showing well now this beauty will reward 5-10 years of bottle aging.
