This, the Foucault brothers’ entry-level bottling, is aged in 2-5 year old barrels, after a long fermentation and maceration. Vine age is 25-30 years old. It is always bottled unfined and unfiltered, and normally released only after 6-12 months in the bottle. Yields are normally 35hl/hectare. Black currents, earth and iron, classic Cabernet Franc aromas. Texture in the mouth is quite tense, but with good richness and very full-bodied with good length. This is a wine that shows great class now, but will age gracefully for at least 10 years.
