Aged in barrel for 18 months and meant for drinking over 3-15 years.
Gobs of red fruit (think gooseberries, raspberries and the like) with some vanilla notes from barrel influence. Tannins are ripe but elegant and have no green edges, as can be the case with this varietal. Their is good lift and elegance to the mouthfeel with nice acidity and a gritty texture that is particularly food-friendly. Truly a drink now or age for later wine, it shows well out of the blocks but will age gracefully for years to come. Very limited production.
