100% Müller-Thurgau
This wine takes its name from the Palai vineyard site above Faedo in Trentino-Alto Adige. At an elevation of 550-750 meters, the vineyard is well-ventilated from the winds that blow north off Lake Garda. The soils are made up of sandstone, siltstone, limestone and dolomite and the vines are planted to a density of 6200-6500 vines per hectare. The contrast between the temperatures during the day and at night are ideal for growing the Müller-Thurgau grape as the warm days provide perfect ripeness while the cool nights help the grapes retain their natural acidity.
The wine is yellow with green tinges and the nose shows notes of peach and citrus with delicate mineral tones. Perfect with all seafood and fish, it is particularly well-matched with the local pasta dish “strangolapreti” which is seasoned with sage and butter.
