2019 was a warm and beautiful harvest. The vintage produced normal yields and harvest took place in early September. The average Brix was of 23.5 and fermented in open top fermenters for 14 days, aged in French oak for 2 years. Our press, is a 1906 wooden apple press, which ensures a gentle processing.
Our 2019 is rich with deep Syrah fruit and beautiful acidity. This wine will age gracefully for at least 15 years. Only 20 Cases made.
The Syrah label is a print from Lore Olds. The artwork depicts an outline of the vineyard and Mayacamas mountains looking east into the canyon where the sun rises reach morning. This view is from the top of the vineyard.
