70% Listán Negro, 30% Tintilla. 90+ year old Trenzado trained vines.
Whole cluster fermentation.
Single .75 hectare vineyard located at 480-520 meters elevation. Formerly named after a centuries old plum tree located in the vineyard (El Ciruelo), this cuvée has now been baptized as Las Suertes.
Rocky volcanic soils with some sand covered with native vegetation.
One of the most refined wines of the lineup, it shows telltale herbal/floral whole cluster notes in the nose. Tannins are silky, but present as they hold together a medium weight wine that is tense, fine and long. Mineral notes are rounded out with ripe fruit on the palate as this will be a very fine wine of terroir once the structural components soften a bit.
