This is a classic styled Mencía with very dark, almost purple hews. It offers up a nose with dark berries and tinges of graphite and minerals. Tannins are medium firm, but ripe and provide a nice gritty mouth-feel that will cut through rich and even spicy cuisine. Very refreshing and persistent.
