Wine: 2008 Vacqueyras Cuvée de l'Ermite, 50/50 Syrah/Grenache
This black wine has it all. Gobs of rich, dark, fresh fruit aromatics and flavors seasoned with plenty of spicy pepper and garrigue aromas. Ripe tannins will carry this for many years though they're coated now with the delicious fruit making early drinking a rare treat.
