Unique in Montlouis in that it's soil contains no Silex (flint), just chalky limestone & clay, this site is perched on the edge of the precipice overlooking the Loire. The nose is a delicate mix of minerals, cool citrus notes and some pear and apple, which lead into a wine with great finesse and poise. A stream of chalky mineral notes are strewn across the tongue only to be relieved by gorgeous, refreshing notes of pear, quince and stone fruit flavors. The great acidity of this wine keeps the sensation going on and on and on... |
