The grapes for this wine come from the single vineyard Le Gonnare in the Bolgheri growing area.
Destemmed grapes are crushed and fermented in stainless steel on their skins for 5-7 days, then pressed and aged for several months in ceramic vat.
This “orange” wine has an intriguingly tight acidic and almost tannic structure, imparted by fermentation on the skins. Aromatics of candied quince, citrus, stone and exotic fruits make this particularly elegant and sumptuous while retaining a “serious” side of vibrant tension and complexity.
