Vineyard: 40+ year old vines from a single parcel. Soils are clay and sand over firm chalky limestone bedrock.
Yields are 40hl/hectare.
Maceration time before press: one month
Aged in concrete vat for 10 months and meant for drinking over 3-15 years.
Very limited production.
Nose of medium dark red purple fruit with subtle earth and minor herb notes. Ripe aromatics lead into a wine with nice grit, ripe tannins and a sensuous sweet middle. Medium weight, showing nice finesse and luscious cherry fruit.
