This aged wine is a gorgeous example of why Zinfandel, the great California varietal, can stand tall next to the greatest Clarets of the world. Still possessing dark, brambly red berry fruit and earth aromatics, it is now entering the secondary stage where things start to get truly interesting. Cedar box and mineral elements combined with softening tannins are added to the mix to make this a truly exceptional wine. Still youthful, it will age gracefully for at least 10 years. Only a few cases were held back by the winery. It’s now or never!
