Made with 100% Merlot grapes, the production of this wine started with the 2002 harvest from a vineyard of 0.2 ha in Barbaresco. The fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel vats and ages 12 months in barriques followed by a further refinement of 6 months in bottle. The color is very deep, dark ruby red, has a spicy nose with a suggestion of undergrowth and vanilla. In the mouth is warm, strong with good tannin. It’s perfect with rich pasta dishes, well seasoned main courses and full fat matured cheese. The annual production is 1.500 bottles.
