The NV Extra Brut L’Ascendant, Mouzon-Leroux’s solera-styled blend, is bright and focused from start to finish. Dried citrus peel, almond, spice, chamomile and dried flowers are beautifully delineated. The blend is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, 50% 2017 and 50% 2016-2014, so more of a multi-vintage blend than a true perpetual reserve or solera. -VINOUS Nov 2023
