The Glintzberg vineyard in Bergbieten is basically the same terroir as the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten. The only difference is that the Glintzberg plot is facing a more easterly exposure while the grand cru faces mostly south. The wine here shows excellent breed with a nose of spice (nutmeg & clove) and some tropical fruit. Vinefied dry, there is just enough residual sugar to round out the edges. Very long with good mineral expression.
