2013 was the latest harvest in the history of this storied estate. Marked by a very hard winter, a cool spring, plenty of heat in the summer and a truly radiant fall with perfect weather during the final weeks of ripening, this vintage belongs in the pantheon of the greatest yet produced by Mas de Daumas Gassac.
Freshness, elegance and incomparable complexity accompany this highly seductive and deeply fragrant wine.
The robe remains dark purple tinged with red. The nose shows subtle dark red, almost candied fruit with notes of lightly toasted chocolate.
The palate is dense with thick juicy fruit and silky tannins. Power & elegance combined.
Showing well now, it will evolve gracefully for another 15-20 years.
