Croatina is a red italian wine grape variety, usually cultivated on calcareous-clayey soils. It is traditionally grown in hilly areas. The Croatina wine is pleasantly fresh and light enough and it doesn?t require aging
Its color is red with multiple shades, from red to intense ruby red.
he 2017 Croatina delivers all the intensity this indigenous variety is known for. Dark cherry, blackberry, dried herbs, lavender, tobacco and licorice infuse the 2017 with richness and brooding power, all wrapped into a classic frame. I would give the 2017 a bit of time in bottle, although it is pretty compelling today. Bright acids and a good bit of tannin make it a fabulous wine for the dinner table, especially alongside hearty fare.
