From vines aged 20-50 years old located in the communes of Meursault & Puligny-Montrachet.
This is the “little wine” from one of the world’s greatest producers of Chardonnay produced from grapes grown in the, arguably, the two greatest Chardonnay villages in the world. What more can we say.
The mineral core is present, but well coated with rich fruit from and excellent vintage. Long and complex, it is these “little” wines that produce the greatest value in Burgundy, because they are produced using the exact same vineyard and cellar techniques as the great vineyard bottlings from the same producer.
