To grapes from very old vines near the ancient village of Vaison la Romain in Provence, Fabrice Dodane has added a small percentage of what he was able to harvest in Arbois following the catastrophic spring frosts of 2021. Biodynamically farmed across the board, this wine is a show-stopper.
Unabashedly southern in style and aromatics, the small percentage of “northern” grapes lifts the style and injects an elegant finish.
Normal “varietal” characteristics do not do this justice, but the finished product is absolutely juicy and delicious. For lack of a better word, let’s call it “glou glou”.
