2022 was a warm year with a quick harvest. The vintage was complete in early September. The Brix were about 20.5 and fermented and aged in stainless steel. The grapes were crushed and immediately pressed with our 1906 wooden apple press, which ensures a gentle processing.
This is Sky’s first release of Riesling. These vines were budded in 2018 and the first crop was in 2021. The wine is bone dry with our Mt. Veeder acidity. The wine is full of minerality and typical Riesling flavors, including lime and a little petrol.
This label is a block print from Lore Olds. The artwork depicts stacking cases in the winery. This artwork was originally created in the 1980’s.
